It is a requirement of the County Court of Victoria that:
- Tape or voice recorders are not to be used to record any court proceedings without the Presiding Judge’s consent.
- Taking photographs and the use of video recording equipment is not permitted within the building, without prior authorisation.
- Mobile telephones are permitted to be used in public areas only.
Furthermore, in order to provide a safe and secure facility persons and their property attending Court will be required to pass through the weapons detection system located at the main entrance foyer.
Please ensure that you DO NOT carry any prohibited article, explosive substance or weapon or any article which may be used as a weapon into the building.
Under the Court Security Act 1980, you may be requested to provide to authorised staff, your name, address, proof of identity or reason for being at the court.
